Mr. Tomas is also one of a very few select attorneys in the state who is “death certified” which means he is qualified to accept court appointments to represent defendants who are facing the death penalty.

Before attending law school, Mr. Tomas earned a Master’s Degree in taxation from Florida International University, majoring in accounting. While attending the University of Miami School of Law, he edited the university’s Inter-American Law Review and interned with the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office. He graduated from law school with honors in 2003, then went on to earn his Masters of Law in taxation in 2006.
